The STEP PDM Schema Home Page

The STEP PDM Schema ...

... is a reference information model for a central, common subset of the data being managed within a PDM system. It represents a set of common requirements and data structures from a range of STEP Application Protocols all generally within the domains of design and development of discrete electro/mechanical parts and assemblies.

... is not a specification for the functionality of the complete scope of all PDM system functionality. Important interfaces exist with functionality needed for comprehensive PDM services that exist in STEP but are not within the common scope of the core PDM schema.

All testing results are based on conceptual models exchanged between several vendors, often using pre-release versions of translator software. There is no guarantee that PDM Implementor Forum interoperability testing results will accurately predict success rates for production models, between two specific vendors, using currently released versions of translator software.
